PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION

Cleaning & Pressing Services

Professional cleaning and pressing for magazines to help maximize presentation, eye appeal, and grading potential before submission to CGC or PSA.

Why Cleaning & Pressing?

At NachoSmasher Collectibles, we offer professional cleaning and pressing services for magazines to help maximize presentation, eye appeal, and grading potential before submission to CGC or PSA.

As an Authorized Dealer with both grading companies and an official CGC Signature Series Facilitator, we understand exactly what collectors and grading companies look for when evaluating collectible condition.

While no service can guarantee a specific grade outcome, proper cleaning and pressing can often make a significant difference in the overall appearance and desirability of a collectible.

Important Notes

Cleaning and pressing are intended to improve presentation where possible, but results vary based on the item and defect type. Color-breaking creases, tears, stains, writing, missing pieces, and other permanent damage typically cannot be fully corrected.

If you have questions about whether your item is a good candidate for cleaning and pressing, feel free to contact us before submitting.

Why Use NachoSmasher Collectibles?

What separates our cleaning and pressing services from the rest:

Authorized Dealer - Direct dealer relationships with both PSA and CGC.

Signature Series Facilitator - Official CGC Signature Series Facilitator status.

High-End Experience - Experienced handling premium collectible magazines and cards.

Direct Submission - Submission services available directly through our dealer accounts.

One-Stop Process - Combined service for pressing, grading, authentication, and signature facilitation.

Will pressing damage my autograph?

No, when done correctly. We use techniques specifically calibrated for autographed pieces, and we've handled hundreds of signed magazines. We'll let you know in advance if a piece has a higher-than-normal risk.

How much will pressing improve the grade?

It depends on the piece. Light surface issues often improve by half a grade to a full grade. More significant issues like deep creases may not fully resolve. We provide realistic expectations with every quote.

Is pressing considered restoration?

No. Pressing is a non-invasive process accepted by CGC and PSA. It corrects condition without altering, chemically treating, or adding materials to the piece.

How long does pressing take?

Standard pressing turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks. Combined press-and-submit services run 60 to 90 days total including grading time.

Can you press a piece I want graded by CGC or PSA?

Yes. We often press and submit in one combined service, saving you shipping and time. Quoted pricing includes both services with the full timeline.
